National Endowment for the Arts

In 2018, Don & Cindy Roy of Gorham, Maine, were awarded the prestigious NEA National Heritage Fellowship. LOMA was chosen as the production company to represent Maine by telling Don & Cindy's story. This video was created and produced for the National Endowment for the Arts in collaboration with the National Council for the Traditional Arts and the Maine Arts Commission. You can read more about Don & Cindy at NEA’s website.

Waterville Creates!

Waterville Creates! enlisted us to produce video content for their member organizations. We created videos for the Waterville Public Library, the Downtown Farmer’s Market and Common Street Arts. These non-fiction profiles highlight the eclectic and welcoming personas of Waterville. Waterville Creates! Is an active non-profit that supports arts and culture in Waterville and beyond. Please have a look and learn more about them at their website: www.watervillecreates.org

Maine International Film Festival

In the summer of 2017, LOMA was proud to produce all of the video content for the Maine International Film Festival's 20th Anniversary. We produced ten 'featurettes'  that will be released in anticipation of the 2018 festival. More MIFF videos coming soon!

#MIFF20 + #MIFF21

During our 10 wild days at MIFF 2017 and 2018, we shot and edited a ‘daily recap’ every single day, contributing to the festival's social media campaign. Here are a few examples.

Please visit MIFF’s website to see all #MIFF20 and #MIFF21 videos.

Maine State Credit Union

We have worked with our friends, Rockland-based marketing firm Naretiv, for years. Through them, we have the opportunity to shoot and edit advertisements for a multitude of different clients. Most recently, we created a series of ads for Maine State Credit Union.  These social media ads aimed to evoke the feeling of youthful freedom with tailor-made music and minimalistic imagery. Also, we got to hang out with some awesome puppies.

Emanuel & Pauline A. Lerner Foundation

"Trekkers Training Institute for Youth Development"

During the Summer of 2017, the Trekkers Training Institute for Youth Development hosted individuals from several youth development organizations to train them in an aspirations-based mentoring curriculum set forth by the Emanuel & Pauline A. Lerner Foundation. This video was made in partnership with the Rockland-based marketing agency, Naretiv.

Telecommunications Association of Maine

LOMA works with businesses of all shapes and sizes to create personal marketing media. When we were asked to make a promotional video for the 50th anniversary year of TAM, we suggested combining a studio shoot of telecommunication antiques with laid-back interviews of TAM's members. The video was screened at TAM's 50th anniversary party in September, 2017.

“What's Good?” @ All Roads Music Festival

We teamed up with another Portland-based production company, Knack Factory, to shoot a fun and unexpected travel show about the 2017 All Roads Music Festival. Mel and Wes ran around Belfast for a day, peeking into When Particles Collide's tour van (and testing out its cuddle space), playing a round of 'Who Said It?' with Spose (he lost) and interviewing festival-goers about the town's cultural climate (it's hot - bring some tan lotion).

LOMA SOLO

When there is downtime (rarely) we get to work on our creative pursuits. We make music videos, short films, animations, collages -- all kinds of digital visual media. Enjoy the weirder side:

Wes and Mel also freelance independently. If you’re looking for a DP, Camera-Op, Assistant Camera, Assistant Director, Producer, etc. We look to work with everyone and collaborate with the creative culture of our area.
